Pocket Gamer: The idea of dancing with your fingers is a rather odd one. Would you try to impress the lady or gent of your dreams by drumming away on a table seductively? Well, you might, but we doubt you'd get more than a worried look.
That's what the Tap Tap series has essentially tasked us with doing ever since the release of the very first iPhone in 2007 - translating the medium of dance into a nervous hand-exercise.
NZ Gamer - Rhythm games are certainly nothing new, and publishers EA and Activision have both made meaty profits from the genre in recent years. However, on a much smaller scale, iOS developers Tapulous have been dominating the iTunes App Store in a similar vein since 2008.
Touch Arcade: Tapulous returns to the iOS music scene once again with Tap Tap Revenge Tour [ Free ], the latest in a string of Tap Tap Revenge games that stretch all the way back to before the App Store even existed. While Tour offers the same basic gameplay with new tracks (as well as a decent backlog of free and premium songs in its store), not much else has been improved upon or changed, save for the addition of a new freemium-based mode.
