Change your name, suck my controller sounds ofensive and stupid...

morganfell4291d ago

Agreed. This is an idiotic and adolescent article title from website whose lack of insight forces them to rely on infantile trickery rather than thoughtful and informative observation. Once again we bear witness the moronic press...the true scourge of gaming.

CaptainCamper4290d ago

If I walked into a room and noticed someone sucking a controller would I think "God they're stupid"? Yes I would. Would I think "HOLY HELL I'M OFFENDED"? No.

If the thought of someone sucking on a control pad is offensive to you, I fear the internet should not be your personal choice of media :)

die_fiend4292d ago

Your spelling is offensive. And just so you know, they won't be listening to you...

Ramas4291d ago

try you to spell outstanding in 3 different languages with english beeing your third. How many languages do you know? You little retard!

mcbrid554291d ago

outstanding, sobresaliente, معلقة, 突出, 未解決の, remarquable.

There is 6 versions of outstanding. While I understand what you are saying about the name that is kind of the point. Asking someone to change their name is like asking someone to change their identity. It just doesn't happen like that.

It is just pretty presumptuous of you to come out and say "change your name" and that may be a language barrier or culture barrier. To me that's like if I where to say, change your heritage so that you can only speak American English. It would just be offensive

Ouya is the console I've been waiting for for a long time.

It's perfect for a user like me. If I want better hardware, I swap it out. If I want a new OS/Software, I just install it.

Wait... it sounds like a weird looking laptop with a controller and custom OS when I think about it...

mcbrid554291d ago

Ya that's the thing, I was super pumped when I heard about the Ouya. Then my buddy smith from the site started hounding me about it and I'm starting to think twice.

Derpy4291d ago

I have a hard time seeing it succeed as all Andriod games currently out are designed for a touch screen so anything that really takes advantage of the system is going to have to be specifically designed for it. Unless it sells like hot cakes, I really don't see very many Andriod programmers choosing to develope for it over the phones and tablets.

mcbrid554291d ago

Very true! I'm hoping that maybe the community takes it upon themselves to create a ton of cool homebrew games. Then It could be a cool, like, cult classic kind of system.

I had the LaserActive... it was a nice collectors piece but not very practical. Especially when it came to needing recapping. I think i paid all of about $50 for the floor model from an incredible Universe back in the day. I ended up selling it many years later for $300 at the time due to it needing a new laser and the aforementioned recapping.

An honorable mention not on the list would be the VM Labs Nuon. It basically looked like any regular DVD player but it had ports on it for controllers to play specific games. one of which is still exclusive to it with Tempest 3000. It also offered nuon enhanced DVD movies with extra content not accessible by regular players.

Wasn't there some KFC console, or am I mistaken?

CoNn3rB12d ago

It was announced but it never actually came out as far as I know

I have Fire Emblem Fates LE, the European one. Not sure if it's as valuable as the US version, but it certainly was in high demand.

Chevalier85d ago

Don't think the European one would be as valuable since it's not region free. I got mine box and all and all those Yokai Watch games

Nyxus85d ago

I also have some of the Yokai Watch games, but also the PAL versions which don't seem to be that valuable.

Chocoburger85d ago

Its not often I actually have games on the 'most expensive list' but I do own Rhythm Thief and Layton vs. Ace Attorney. I believe both of them are sealed as well.

Chevalier85d ago

Nice! Hopefully they re-release the Layton games on the Switch. Surprised they haven't already

How has this article missed out Sega's Dreamcast and Nintendo's Wii U, two consoles that were actually superb devices in their own right, but were seen as failed due to lacklustre sales at the time of release?

Knightofelemia1572d ago

Wonder how long before Stadia appears on the list surprised the Ngage is not on that list

william_cade1572d ago (Edited 1572d ago )

I enjoy these kinds of articles.

Talk about a blast to the past.......I remember trying the virtual boy at Toy R Us and it was cool but I did feel slightly disoriented afterwards......good article.
