Blizzard has this evening released a statement which addresses the community on the lack of end-game readily admitting that there is little to keep the players engaged.
I think that by today's standards, Diablo III is a fantastic game. BUT - when one takes into account that it's a sequel to a game that released over a decade ago, then one starts to ask questions. Leading up to launch, people (myself included) emphasized the importance of end-game content and high level item hunting - two things that are pretty lackluster in D3. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to seeing what and how they add to the universe.
