Warner gives Blu-Ray three week lead time on catalog titles as well.

Taking the next step in its transition to Blu-ray exclusivity, Warner has extended its three-week delay on HD DVD releases to include catalog titles.

This move comes only days after the studio announced similar plans for the HD DVD editions of its new release titles, starting with 'The Invasion' and 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.'

At the time, it seemed that catalog titles would continue to be released concurrently on both next gen formats through May, but the studio now tells us that it's expanding its strategy to include catalog titles too, with the HD DVD versions of all of its remaining titles through the June 1 cut-off also receiving a three-week release delay.

The first two titles to officially receive new dates are 'Twister' (with the HD DVD edition pushed back from May 6 to May 27), and 'Bonnie & Clyde' (which sees a bump from March 25 to April 15). The Blu-ray and standard DVD editions will remain unaffected.

Tech specs and supplement details for 'Twister' remain as originally announced, as does the HD DVD's $28.98 list price.

You'll find disc details for 'Twister' and 'Bonnie & Clyde' linked from our HD DVD Release Schedule, where they are now indexed under their new, respective street dates.

We'll keep you posted on any future tweaks to Warner's HD DVD release schedule as they come in.

I am so looking forward to it on Blu Ray

And now all the poor losers are trying to keep HD-DUD alive by making online petitions, like that's going to help. Time to move on, Toshiba. You're only showing how desperately pathetic you are by lowering the price to your HD-DUD players. Not even the price drops are helping so why continue? And you 360 fanfags buying HD-DUD add-ons are even more hilarious. This just isn't your year, Microcrap. Horrid lineup for 08, Blu-ray wins, Xbox Live unstable, the RROD is still going strong and etc.

Just give up. Sony always wins.

Ok, i want V for Vendetta for BD. Any clue on when/ if that is coming out.

Kees5732d ago

WB confirmed to be working on the titles that are up till now only released on HD-DVD, such as: The Matrix, V for Vendetta and Batman Begins

Panthers5732d ago

I did a little reaserch and I didnt realize it was already out for HDDVD. I will probably just go ahead and get it on DVD because I dont wanna wait and I have the sudden urge to buy that movie.

XBREAK3FIXME5732d ago (Edited 5732d ago )

Clearly.

HD-DUD (Microcrap) = Losers aka 360 owners that got the add-on.

Too little, too late, you're dead. Trust is gone and not coming back.

It's ugly, but I think they deserve a second chance only because they, at least, admitted they took a wrong turn, and they want to straighten things up. unlike for example, Nvidia.

Remember, competition is good for the consumers. we don't want them to go out of business, but to do things fairly.

bunt-custardly10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

It's only a matter of time until something else disagreeable becomes policy. The stage has been set. Stone has been cast. Can't rewind time like you can in their game engine.

savedsynner10d ago

Not sure why the downvotes...probably people who have 0 dev experience(or socialists lol). Competition is essentially for quality products.

Get out of here being logical and level headed on the internet. You can only spread hatred and be obstinate with zero exceptions. Obviously nobody being overly dramatic and critical has ever made a mistake. Otherwise they wouldn't be so quick to place permanent judgement on anyone....

mike32UK9d ago

Absolutely not, they've been proven to be chancers. The only reason they are doing a 180 is because they know the alternative is to keep getting shit for being greedy ultimately leading to their failure as a company

anast9d ago

Corporations need to be treated harshly if you want them to change, of course.

notachance9d ago

No

Game development is very costly and takes very long time, only a fool decides on the core engine purely because “muh healthy competition” and risk the chance of Unity making another shitty decision down the line and ruining years of work.
