They will never take me alive dammit. Seriously though I really don't understand why all this beardy wierdy goblins and elfs has caught on. But then again that kind of stuff bores me to death.

I like WC3 but I dont think I will ever pay monthly to play a game. Besides, its a totally different game.

Synex4658d ago

it has caught on becuase it appeals to a bigger audience than previous MMOs have. You no longer need to wait 5 hours to find a group to do things. Also, it's a simple design, fun gameplay and addicting.

VirusE4658d ago

I didnt get it either but then last week i downloaded the free 10 day trial. At first i didnt think it was so fun but strangely i kept playing. I am on week 2 now (level 21 mage) and it is all i can think about. The gfx or meh, the story is meh and it takes 10 years to do anything yet all i want to do is play it. It defies all logic.

The creators of Half-Life, The Sims, and Quake would like to have a word with you.

Synex4658d ago

Quake and that style of gameplay seems to be slowly dieing out, and with Half-life it really isn't all that great anymore there are much better things to be played on consoles such as Halo 3 and COD4 (I'm a Sony fan believe it or not) and I haven't heard much about The Sims lately. They need a new Sim City were those fun.

Lionsguard4658d ago

The creators of Half-Life. Quake etc. Has no say in Blizzard's business because there probably aren't even 10 million copies of their games out ( I could be wrong ) but even if there are 10 million copies of their game out people aren't paying them $15 a month to play them. Blizzard is raking in more money in a month than they are pumping out one game every 2-3 years. Before WoW, EQ1 was the best MMO of the time and they didn't even hit 1 million subscribers.

Is that 10 million active subscriptions or 10 million accounts both active and inactive?

Rooted_Dust4658d ago

I believe it counts all subscriptions ever created.

WoW now hosts more than 2 million subscribers in Europe, more than 2.5 million in North America, and approximately 5.5 million in Asia.

Active only why would they count inactive?

Alzheimer's disease is continuous, neurodegenerative disease in the brain. It is characterized by abnormal clumps and tangled bundles of fibers and made of misplaced proteins. Alzheimer’s is seems to occur at a certain age. They’re many other risks such as family history or genetics. There are no real clear cut symptoms and a majority of the time when a person is diagnosed it is very late in its progress. There are no real cures for the disease but things that make life for the patient longer or better.
Alzheimer's is a serious disease which can not be detected very easy. The disease is very well associated with older aged persons. There are some symptoms related with the disease. Memory loss, difficulty to perform familiar task, problems with speaking, distortion of time or place, problems with abstract thinking and depression are all symptoms of the disease but at the same time similar with others. This makes the dieses very hard to predict or diagnose.
There are many stages to the disease. A way to diagnose if a person has Alzheimer’s disease is to do an autopsy, which can only be performed at death. Other ways are not 100% positive but are still accurate. To diagnose blood and urine test can be taken. The most accurate is to do brain scans. Two abnormal structures called plaques and tangles are prime suspects in damaging and killing nerve cells. There are no cures once the disease is found. Some drugs may slow or help the patient with the symptoms but overall the outcome is fatal.

What is the point of this? People know this disease is fatal, but we really can't do anything about it if the people that have been studying it for years now still have no clue on how to cure it.

dude its "news 4 gamers" not "news 4 diseases" you might want to try a different site
