Download the YouTube app for PS Vita today.

Hi everyone! Recently, we announced that YouTube would be coming to PS Vita. It’s the latest application to be added to PS Vita’s growing portfolio of applications and one that takes full advantage of PS Vita’s high-definition and 3G capabilities. Starting later today, the YouTube application will be available as a free download via the PS Vita Store on PSN.

Would be great to have a UStream app like the iPhone4/iPod Touch 4G one to live stream. I only watch YT videos on my computer. Even if I had a 3G version of the Vita, which I don't, I would never use it to watch YT videos it would burn internet traffic in seconds.

Watching dragonball z abridged on the new YouTube app. The vita version of YouTube is far superior to the android and ios version. And yes its HD compatible. You can turn HD on and off

A:

The answer in simple terms is yes.
Bearing in mind it’s been only four months since we launched PS Vita, I’m very happy with how the Vita has come out.
We've worked really closely with the hardware group over the last few years to discuss what devices and capabilities would make sense.
We wanted to create the idea of a portable gaming system with our hardware group that we also wanted as a game development group. Four months later, we're still working hard to realise the potential and vision that our hardware team has created with PS Vita.

Well I cant find it, when searching for Youtube on the store, but it finds nothing.
It is not under social either.

When will this app be available for other regions/places than NA?
Europe, norway/scandinavia, japan, uk etc?
Doas anyone know when we will get it?

I've been able to download the app on the play station store by searching it its only 5mb! Apparently the Recommended tab is actually your subscriptions tab!

Yeah, the game and video's can not run simultaneously as games take top priority in the GPU.

So this app is 720p compatible but the vita screen Max resolution is only 960x544p I don't get it but whatever it still looks freaking amazing.

They just need to implement more personal channel functionality, and it would be perfect. I would love to be able to check comments and PMs.

I mean like notifications for comments on your videos and the PMs you recieve, just like with youtube on PC. With your channel, on Vita, you can view what your subscriptions uploaded and that's about it. You can't actually go into your own channel to check up on your content, comments, etc. I just feel they need to implement that more, and the app will be perfect.
