Escalating conflict, both internal and external.
Spec Ops: The Line was a 2012/2013 release that tried to exemplify that war shouldn't be entertaining through an entertainment product.
Recently downloaded this on my Series S. The game still holds up. Shame it never took off.
GF365: "Here are our picks for the ten most underrated third-person shooters that you might not have played before or even known about."
Actually great list TBH I agree with all 10
I hope one day we get some remakes for the following
The saboteur(with a proper remake and quality of life features this game could be great)
Scarface world is yours
Binary domain ( such a great game with great story)
GUN(this needs a remake)
Space marine 40k(such fun time)
Would also like to suggest adding the mercenary series even the 2nd game which is disliked by many is a fun time
I recently finished Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and found it to be very enjoyable.
The game respected the lore and the gameplay was quite decent.
The color palette was a bit underwhelming (backdrops and setting) and recycled but I think that it deserved better.
Here's hoping for an amazing sequel
GF365: "A well-written and heart-touching video game can bring almost anyone to tears, and it's not always a bad thing. There are countless titles that have executed the concept of tragedy perfectly. Here are the saddest video game stories."
Deadliest was an awesome game. Glad to see it get recognition. I remember seeing it in ebay physically I had to buy it.
NieR: Automata's focus on existentialism hit me so hard, I legitimately had a brief existential crisis from it. It actually had me contemplating life and death. One of the many factors that contributed to Automata overtaking Chrono Trigger as my favorite game of all time. I've been gaming since Bionic Commando on NES. So I never really thought I'd find a game that could usurp Chrono Trigger for me, personally.
TLOU had a couple of touching moments but the entire story wasn't sad to me. But it was a story of survival so I guess the entire predicament of living in those conditions can be considered sad & I guess the same can be said for The Walking Dead..lol. Sekiro,Spec Op & Dark Souls story didn't seem sad to me nor did Nier:Automata. To each their own to how someone interprets a sad story.
Maybe I shall give this a try :)
Looks fun for me, but I will skip the multiplayer for this one!
People thought I was crazy being semi-excited for this game. While I never place too much on reviews....rather trust my instinct and demos - the majority of 7-9 reviews makes me happy for a new ip.
I'll get this once it hits the bargain bin at 20 bucks
Not a new ip. Spec ops is from the 90's. The reviews have been mostly 8's. Surprise of the summer???
