GTA 5 delays yet another title

Having already learned that GTA 5 is having an affect on the release of certain games it comes as no surprise that another title will be delayed because of Rockstar’s upcoming game. Anarchy Reigns is the latest victim because the creators said that they do not wish to release the title so close to the release of Grand Theft Auto V, which will come as a disappointment to fans.

Bioshock Infinite is part of 2K Games, a subsidiary of
Take-Two,so they still get money from both Infinite and V.

There are two series that no one wants to release next to, Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto!

You will lose sells releasing next to these two Behemoths.

Your game will not get any good ad time, hype, or free press cause everyone will be talking about COD or GTA 1 month prior and 2 months after release.

GTAV and CODBO2 both look to release in November so your looking at a possible 40 million units sold between two games that month.
So pubs are smart to move new I.P.s and B tier games away from these Beast.

Not all games are being delayed because of GTA...assuming so is just stupid. I know for a fact BioShock wasn't because of GTA.

No, they did it because the game needs a lot of work. Part of the reason the delay was approved by the publisher was because of GTA.

Don't get me wrong, Im excited for GTA5, but im sick of people saying the game is coming out this year, sick of people thinking R* hid the release date in Max Payne 3... etc

Then be ready to be disappointed mate. GTA is a strong franchise but no way will it outsell BlackOps2. This Gen is run by competitive multiplayer and GTA doesnt stack up against COD. If you think it does then you are simply the type of gamer that hates the COD series and live in denial on how big the franchise has become. This is coming from someone that hates the series.

The article kinda contradicts itself in the end when it states the obvious which is that there is no release date for GTAV yet.

I reckon its more because of the amount of big hitters that release in the fall tat causes these delays rather than any single game. Delays can be frustrating for fans but at least its more time to perfect the game, thats why i wasnt so disappointed when Bioshock got delayed as im a huge fan and kinda glad they have that time to polish it as 1 & 2 seemed a bit rushed at the end.

Anyway, I think GTAV will release Spring but man do i hope im wrong.

That's bullshit, Anarchy Reigns was delayed because of Sega's secret agenda. They kept PG in the dark about their plans.

the original release date was early July, with no competition at all. The game is localized and ready as of right now.

This article is stupid, why delay a game because of GTA V when you dont even know when its releasing? If you do that then you might end up releasing on the same day and selling like one copy (unless your COD). But what if all the gaming companies already whos releasing when? That would kinda make sense, but I hope we get the GTA V release date soon!
