well, i think horror games are starting to rise up with titles like Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, Sacrilegium, Asylum and that Among the Sleep. not only horror games but more games other than FPS need to make a comeback :L
I will probably get a few disagree's but nothing has scared me and in my opnion scarier than fatal frame. You only have a camera...A camera!
I agree scary games are few and far between but you do get a few gems every once and a while :)
Scary games are being released on the PC. and some are mods.
The console crowd isn't interested in horror games unless its got a lot of action too, like Dead Space
I really do miss horror games we were spoilt for choice in the last two gens and I just don't understand why devs don't make them any more.
There is clearly a market for horror games.
