"We decided to take a look at the next-generation in the software front - looking at some absent series either this generation or any light of day since any announcements a couple of years ago, we at Total Revue decided to compile a list of possible announcements and series in this 5 part special that we think will be moving into the Next-Generation without a word."
Ever play a game a game only to discover at some point it transforms into a horror game? No? Well Netto's Game Room shares six games that do just that!
Not necessarily a ‘horror’ moment, but I remember feeling really tense and anxious when the Flood were first introduced in the original Halo. I never felt more on edge or nervous in that whole game as that moment. I think it was the whole buildup that something terrible was coming but you didn’t know exactly what.
Another non-horror game that had me feeling it was Subnautica. The deep dark depths, and knowing that sea monsters were lurking nearby, had me jumping at every sound.
I remember being scared of the Asylum level in the most recent Thief game from 2014.
Shu Yoshida, former Head of Worldwide Studios at SIE, has shared some insight on the development struggles faces by The Last Guardian.
This game made a huge impact on me, the friendship beetween the boy and Trico reminded me of my old stubborn dog that was my friend when I was a kid.
The first game that ever made me cry, I love it
As a wise man once said: what be will, be will, and sometimes games just get canceled, whether it’s due to publisher meddling, a lack of funds or the creative vision simply not panning out.
Eight Days for me
Really would have enjoyed a buddy cop game with a Lethal Weapon like tone.
The only one that really bothered me was when Sony wouldn't fund Days Gone 2. That announcement made me literally feel nauseous. I felt sick in the guts. That's the first time Sony had done something that actually physically hurt me lol. I'm still bummed that there won't be a Days Gone 2.
I just can't see Versus XIII and The Last Guardian heading to next gen when they've been worked on for many years. It seems illogical to scrap all the work they've done optimising and getting the best out of PS3 hardware, to spend even longer getting their heads around PS4,.which will take longer and there's no guarantee it will yield better results, especially with higher dev costs. Not to mention, much longer and expectations will be even more ridiculous by the time they both release.
Agent, I dunno because many people have given up on that one, and rightly so since we've heard nothing from Rockstar or Sony since announcement. It might have been moved to next gen since Rockstar have other priorities.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will be next gen as they haven't begun work on it and Nomura won't begin until Versus XIII is done, which could be at least another year.
If Agent, Last Guardian, and Kingdom Hearts 3 was launch titles for PS4, i would buy in a heart beat.
Watch Dogs and Star Wars 1313.
last guardian and VersusXIII cant go next gen now to much hype about them being on PS3 this gen thats like a betrayal of everyones trust.I can see KH3 going next gen cause Versus has take 6+ years so KH3 may take atleast that much but skipping a whole concole genreation for sequel is a strech. Hoping Versus will show up at TGS.
