Co-op looks to be a defining feature of 'Dead Space 3' when the game releases this February. But can EA balance their push for mainstream accessibility with the series' reputation among fans?
EA just hosted its quarterly financial conference call, and its executives have been asked to comment about the recent price hikes for games.
Today, Electronic Arts announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2025, alongside the full year.
Split Fiction has sold nearly 4 million copies, and the next battlefield is confirmed for a release by March 2026 with a reveal this Summer.
In addition to the roughly 100 job cuts IGN reported earlier today at Respawn Entertainment, EA has made wider cuts across its organization today, impacting around 300 individuals total including those already reported at Respawn.
Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....
This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.
Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
So they make a game nobody asked for, i didnt want a co-op Dead Space, theres less fear when theres more than one of you
They should of made a completely different Dead Space, same mechanics, same gameplay, different protagonist, different situations, otherwise were gonna end up with the same game weve already played
Thats why i didnt like DS2, too much of the same "oh no, a dark tunnel, let me guess, a pipe is going to burst out some steam, a shadow is going to run past"
I LOVED Dead Space, i use to play it on Friday night, around midnight (when i KNEW the kids/missis would be in bed) id plug my awesome headphones into the TV, id get PROPER stoned and play Dead Space for a couple of hours, i really enjoyed myself
TOTALLY different experience with the second game
Too late, more than enough fans are pissed off
A game in development that already pisses of fans and wants at least five million in sales.....sounds mighty familiar....
I wonder if these guys have ever thought about actually asking the FANS what they wanted?
I feel like they walked into a COD convention and started handing out surveys.
The business side of gaming is a terrible ecosystem.
