"The games enthusiast media just can't catch a break. The print guys are told by media buyers and PR reps alike that they write for a dying and increasingly irrelevant medium, despite mounting evidence to the contrary, and the online outlets are marginalized and not given the credit that they deserve. It's tough enough to have one's publication called into question for the manner in which it is distributed, but increasingly we – as an industry – are also inserting and asserting our own professional value systems into how the games media does their job."
