Temple Run: Brave Review (Modojo)

Chris Buffa (Modojo): Pixar's newest animated movie, Brave, arrives in theaters June 22, and Disney Interactive will be right there with a video game built from the ground up for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS. Disney Mobile, on the other hand, took a different approach. Instead of creating a new game altogether, it partnered with Imangi Studios to merge the film with Temple Run, Imangi's popular iOS game that went on to exceed over 80 million downloads. The result, Temple Run: Brave, is just as addictive as its predecessor, but has a handful of new features that make it somewhat unique.

Nintendo Dreaming: Super Mario Bros. Meets Temple Run

Chris Buffa (Modojo): By now, you've played or at least heard of Temple Run, Imangi Studios' insanely popular mobile game for iOS and Android. The developer is primarily responsible for kicking off the endless runner craze that's taken the App Store and Google Play marketplace by storm, with a plethora of clones that follow the same basic formula: the character constantly runs forward, and players swipe or tilt to make the hero move in various directions, jump and slide. Some titles even let gamers shoot by tapping the screen.
