Tactics in First And Third Person Shooters Are Dying

"I had a random thought that has been stuck in my head for a few weeks now and I figured I’d share it finally. This is being written off the assumption that people have heard and/or played Call of Duty. Now I understand that CoD has always been an accessible arcade shooter, but where have the strategic planning of maneuvering around areas to tag and bag your enemies gone? I was going to take a shot at realism for the game, but as I just said the multiplayer was designed as an arcade type shooter. Last I’d checked, I don’t see soldiers in the army running headfirst with a sniper rifle and using it as if it were a single shot assault rifle. But back to my original thought: where have the tactics gone?"
