Need for Speed Most Wanted Won't support Windows XP, Dead Space 3 PC requirements also out

Electronic Arts has revealed the official PC system requirements (via Origin Store) for two of their most anticipated and much awaited games, Dead Space 3 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

Dead Space 3 is a simple console port that my Toaster could run.

Need for Speed Most Wanted PC is only using DX10 and DX11 (not technically supported by DX9 Win Xp)which is good cause maybe they put some time into the PC version.

Why ditch XP?it's way better than Vista...

CernaML4757d ago

Windows 7 is way better than both.

Seriously, get out of the stone age already.

NYC_Gamer4757d ago (Edited 4757d ago )

I have Win 7 but that doesn't change the fact that Vista is garbage compared to XP

Windows Vista reminds me of Windows ME.

Kurylo3d4757d ago

vista may eat up memory, but it has newest directx capabilities unlike xp. Which inherintly makes it better for high end gaming then xp. XP is dead and is crap at this point. get over it and move in.. pickup windows 7 or 8 if u are unhappy with vista.

So the new most wanted is build on frostbite 2 Engine?

bmxdrury4757d ago (Edited 4757d ago )

gamers don't need to be running XP anymore anyway, just use windows 7.i know a lot of people like XP because it runes older games ME/98/95 etc.but windows 7 has XP mode.

Would still be nice as an extra feature those who still want to run XP, but windows XP is 11 years old, support won't last forever.

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
