Strategic War in Europe, by Wastelands Interactive, is very possibly another great entry into the turn-based strategy genre. At first glance, the graphics do leave something to be desired, however graphics alone do not determine whether or not a game is worth playing. One of the biggest concerns with a game really is the music. You can get lost in a game that has the right music to fit it, and this game’s music works well. It’s the right balance of dramatic tones and subtle melodies to keep you happy, but not distracted.
SteamFirst: When it comes to portraying historical events in video games, none have been used as often as the second World War. It’s the well that never runs dry for a game developer. A grand global conflict, a vile villain and heroic individuals, and a wealth of stories from which to glean.
Hardcore Gamer: The bare minimum gets you Crystal Picnic and The 11th Hour, which have got to be the two most polar opposite titles yet in a bundle. The $4 tier gets you those and Strategic Warfare in Europe, The Cat Lady, Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden, and LUME.

Strategic War in Europe, the turn-based strategy game from Wasteland Interactive, has finally launched on Steam after being officially released in October of 2012. It is an ambitious game that tries to recreate the stages of World War II across all of Europe on a single map. While this may sound enticing, it suffers from some major UI flaws that ruin the entire experience.
