Ah yes. Bad video game fanbases. Moaning about the slightest of character changes, gameplay changes and graphical changes. Maybe not? Maybe if the gameplay goes online or if there’s a popular forum to go chat about the franchise and we have little kiddies who run the place like an anarchy throwing f-bombs in your ear. Maybe it might be that they are such bad video game fanbases that they could cause market crashes with their narrow interests and constant obnoxious reminder that it is a “god” of a franchise. So how are we deciding the worst?
Pokecology is a real book based on the behavioral science and ecology of Pokemon, and it's coming (to Japan) in mid-June.
The team at Netto's Game Room came up with an "objectively true list" of the coolest characters in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
Vampire Survivors: Emerald Diorama is one of the biggest content drops ever, with a free DLC based on Square Enix’s SaGa fantasy RPG.
There's some points I agree with the author. Overall, there's some bits of interesting reading along the article.
Quote from the article: "Now, I’m a lover of furry fandom here, but wow. They can barely keep it organized. I wouldn’t have a problem with some of the fanfiction if it just found a more consistent foundation with liking the romantic pairings Sonic Team hints at already."
Gross.
I agree with the majority of the things on the list but the furry thing is hard to forgive.
Basically popular games/series' then?
Aren't those the qualities which defines a fanbase?
When I wrote this, I did kind of take a semi-parody sense while still giving a legit view on the issue. If it comes off as trolling, well then excuse me for having half of the franchise pictures featuring trollfaces in them! :P
