E3 2012 is right around the corner and the pressure seems to be on Microsoft this year as they have had a fantastic 2012 thus far and last year’s conference seemed a bit too focused on “Kinectivity”...
Nice article, one free from bias which seems to be a rarity these days. Completely agree with everything however I'd hope they'd finish on some surprise exclusives.. maybe even a new IP. Everyone knows Halo 4 is coming out this year and while there is a lot of hype surrounding it, I think it'd be nice for Microsoft to offer a surprise or two at the end specifically aimed at pleasing the core market. It's an important E3 for Microsoft imho, one where next gen will start to be creeping on people's lips and I think it's imperative that they try and rekindle the trust they've lost with some of their core market because it will inevitably be them who will be the invaluable early adopters next gen.
His wishlist: pretending CoD is exclusive, hoping on exclusives that just aren't there, more on multiplats, the annual praising of Live by the numbers, not too much Kinect this year:) and Halo 4. Wow!
Just a trailer for Halo 4? I think its blatantly obvious we should receive a demonstration...
I hope they show what they did with forge that would be an awesome demonstation
This article is so poorly written. :\
Na, it's going to be all Kinect and it's going to be awesome. Show off Ryse, Fable: the Journey and whatever Twisted Pixel and Rare are doing now. Announce the new Kinect FPS they're making in Vancouver. Announce that rumoured fitness-tracking thing and Kinect internet browser. Get that bald guy who used to work for Sony on the stage along with Don Plastic to do a Kinect demo for maximum lols. Then show Forza Horizon and Halo 4 to keep the thumbstick folk sweet.
It will be a pretty solid showing from MS. COD dlc Fable The Journey Forza New XBL features DBZ Kinect Steel Battalion Multiplatform games Halo 4 Price drop
If thats would be the showing, id be pretty f-ing disappointed. I couldnt give a damn about the CoD DLC. They hype it up more than the actual game, Fable the Journey... meh. Forza.... meh. New XBL features will probs be more features we dont actually need. DBZ Kinect is a meh from me even though I like DBZ, Steel Battalion... meh. Multiplatform games; sure ill go for that but it'd be better off if we just watched live streams from the show floors, Halo 4.... meh. Not into Halo too much. And a price drop: No shock there.
Forza meh, I hope that you are just referring to your opinion because that's the best damn car game series I have ever played
Nah the original Need for Speed games are the best. Forza was just too slow of a game for me, as was GT5.
You call that a solid lineup? COD dlc is nothing to shout home about and is almost a given, Forza good but for a niche crowd, kinect, kinect, kinect, new XBL features to justify why we're paying a premium price for a service everyone else gets for free and Halo. If you call that a solid lineup to please all of the xbox crowd then you're easily pleased.
So. They'd run the conference exactly like the actual microsoft would run their conference, minus exclusives.
