Monkey Island SE review for Xbox 360.
First of all I would like to say that I was shocked and confused when I heard they were bringing it out on 360. I remember back in my youth the hours I sat in front of the Amiga just trying to fathom what to do next, it took me about a month and a half to complete first time round. And then when I grew up it took me years to try and find it on floppy disk to play on my PC. This my friends is a revolutionary game this is truly a milestone in gaming history.
Not only have they revamped the graphics to this amazing game but they have kept the old graphics which you can switch back and forth from. So for all the people who have never heard or played it will enjoy the enhanced version and the people who reminisce will enjoy the old style. I must say I was a bit dubious about the fact of it being a point and click game on the 360. How does that work?? But I have played and completed it and I’ll tell you something the game play and the feel of this game have not changed in the slightest. This was, is, and always will be an amazing game. I hope they bring out more of the oldies like maniac mansion, LOOM and Zack McCracken and the alien mind benders. I look forward to see what LucasArts have next as this is the best thing that’s happened for me this year.
The game is about a pirate wannabe called Guybrush Threepwood who is on a quest to become a mighty pirate. The game starts off on Melee Island where you are asked to complete three trials. You are then thrown in to the turmoil of puzzling quests round islands from learning how to insult sword fight to escaping from a cannibal campsite in a bid to discover the secret of Monkey Island and save a lost love.
This game is packed full of puzzles and confusing circumstances in which you have to use a mixture of common sense and stupidity to get out of.
This game brings the past to the gamers of today and lets them know the awesomeness of the Monkey Island genre and shows them how LucasArts used to rule the waves. In my eyes this is well worth the Microsoft points.
I salute you, you awesome, awesome!! People.

Neil writes "I’ve spoken to many Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers over the last year and unfortunately the vast majority of them seem to think that the Xbox Games With Gold scheme has taken a backwards step over the last few months.
Granted, the odd free Xbox One or Xbox 360 title gets the juices flowing, but on the whole, the latter months of 2016 has failed to hit the heights of months further past. But now, the Xbox Games With Gold scheme is back with four new titles being given away throughout the month of November. Surely the year will be able to think about closing with a fairly decent giveaway?"
Did you know that Nintendo originally intended Link to travel into a futuristic techno-Hyrule? Here is a collection of facts that you may not know about your favourite characters.
The StickSkills gang remembers their favorite LucasArts games of yore.
I would argue that the Star Wars games were the start of Lucasarts demise. Sure, X-wing and X-wing vs Tie fighter were great but that's where the Star Wars obsession began. Before then they were innovators and leaders with games such as Rescue on Fractalus, Ballblazer, the Eidolon, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, etc.
Once they started with Star Wars all this creativity died and they begun to spiral inwards, sucked into a single brand black hole. Rest in piece Lucasarts. Some of us still remember your glory days.
