Red dead redemption is Rockstars latest open world game set in 1911's wild west it is a new setting for Rockstar's open world games and one that hasn't been seen in many games this generation.
The environments are very well detailed from the open plains to the snowy mountains they are all breathtaking and different.
The character's are also very detailed the voice acting is superb with an amazing script you will defiantly create a bond with the main characters along the story.
And what a story it is, after around 10 missions in which is basically the tutorial for the game it defiantly picks up not creating many dull moments. There are many twists in the plot and there are many, many times you think the story is over but it carries on to make it a game that will last you around 15-20 hours, that is if you manage to restrain yourself from all the distractions there is the game such playing a game of poker or blackjack to hunting and cattle wrangling.
Hell you could even kick a chicken around a farm for half an hour if thats the kind of thing your into.
Once you are done with the story and bored of kicking chickens you can then head online, one main feature of the online is the way the lobby is set up instead of been sat in a menu waiting for the game to begin you go into the full game world and are free to roam alone or in a posse. In the world you can raid gang hideouts, go hunting, kill each other or just simply mess around. You could also join game modes from posts around the world or from the pause menu this range from a straight up death match to a capture the flag style game mode but with bags of gold instead of a flag.
Overall this game has shaped up to be one of the best games so far this year and could be a real contender for game of the year it lived up and surpassed my expectations so if you haven't already then i strongly suggest you go out and buy this game.
The PlayStation 3 is Sony’s most interesting home console ever, but what’s most interesting of all is trying to nail down the very best games on a console with hundreds of incredible games. Let’s give it a shot.
Sly Thieves in Time
Stay the Party
Portal 2
Dj Hero
Demon’s Souls
God of war Ascension
I've noticed a recent nostalgia for the PS3 and I don't get it for me it's been my least favourite generation to date and I've been gaming since the NES I just feel like the ambition of the developers outweighed the capabilities of the consoles so I remember lots of games running in the lower end of 20fps range and I remember for the first time ever actually disliking the duelshock 3 and it's curved triggers
Sure there were some standouts and great games but that's the only gen I switched entirely to PC gaming
Saddle up your horses, boys. Let's gallop on through this list of the best cowboy games you can play on the PS3.
Rockstar Games had considered making Red Dead Redemption and GTA movies at one point, but had ultimately dropped the idea.
Both would make more sense as a series than as movies, though I think Red Dead would be far easier to adapt.
RDR would work really well. From the GTA universe, IV would work really well because of how gritty and realistic the story is.
