An awesome game that delivers exactly what it says on the tin and more, thrils spills and even a love interest, only hindered by stupidly annoying jumping sections and button bashing boss battles that require little or no skill, but apart from that the puzzles are challenging and it's definitely a solid installment into the DMC saga.
But i thought it could have done with a few God of War style QTE's (quick time events) which would only would have helped with the boss battle's integrity and add a definite sense of challenge to an already amazing game and with a story as enticing and enthrawling as that i'm glad to that it's not one of those games (i.e Metal Gear Solid 4 etc.)that let's its story get the better of it and take over and spoil/ruin the entire ruddy game.
So overall a game that'll have you reaching for your wallet(and your controller) a good combination for those game developers and I think they made a really good decision introducing(and letting you play as) brand new hero of the day Nero with his gigantic demonic hand thingy(very similar to upcoming capcom game bionic commando)which gives you access to a whole array of new moves as well as a whole new way to play a devil may cry game oh and that love interest i told you about earlier for once it's not Dante's it's newcomer Nero that is in love with also newcomer Keiria who is the singer for the order of swords to which Nero also belongs to as a knight.
So really quite a lot of reasons to buy it then well go on if you haven't already got it then stop reading this and go buy it now.
P.S hurry up and make DMC 5 already!!!!!
Devil May Cry 4 launched 15 years ago today, bringing with it new character Nero. Has it stood the test of time?
Never liked it and I think I got it day 1.
Cheap Capcom design of half a game that you have to walk through twice.
5 isn't much different in that department. Encounter the same boss three times with three different characters? Endless warehouses or alien-like tunnels that all look the same.
Grab your katana, and slice your way through this list featuring the best hack and slash games the PlayStation 3 had to offer.
Dante's inferno... an excellent GoW inspired game. So sad the sequels will never be.
heavenly sword was such a short, but amazing game. that game should be prime material to be made into a download only remaster.
I really enjoyed Castlevania, but struggled to get into it again reattempting it a few years back. I still think it does another of things well; story, presentation, level varietily and art style at least. Gameplay maybe has not stood test of time unfortunately which makes it a chore to get through.
Heres ten great games we still want to see ported to the Nintendo Switch.
