Modern Warfare 2 picks up where Call of Duty 4 left off. Tension brewing between US and Russia can only mean one thing... war. You're now part of the US Army Rangers, as well as part of an elite group known as Task Force 141 which is ran by General Shepard. You're sent to locations dotted all around the globe, to take down bases, retrieving documents and you'll also pick up a friend along the way.
Infinity Ward's intuitive storyline that tells the story via different characters in the game puts you in the shoes of a CIA deep cover operation, alongside Makarov you're ordered to take down a Russian airport. What follow will unfold the story, you'll see for yourself. The looks and sounds have been upgraded drastically, giving Modern Warfare 2 an even more realistic feel than before. The visuals are definitely not something to miss, seeing the Washington Monument crumbled will make you gasp for air.
Sometimes the game can seem like America's being 'centred' shunning other countries. It is Modern Warfare, but no presence of British, Canadian or Australian forces. Even the TF141 soldier you play as is American!
Multiplayer has also received a much needed upgrade, a whole range of weapons have been added and a few from Call Of Duty 4 made it in to Modern Warfare 2. The perk system now has 'Pro' perks which give you extra abilities. The maps are huge and there are plenty of rooms and gaps for you to hide, which unfortunately can sometimes result in a camper's paradise. Many glitches and bugs have been addressed and the eagerly anticipated host migration system is in place and works a treat. It is early days, but matchmaking could do with some tweaks.
A new spec ops mode has been added, where you can play some missions with your friends, earning stars. Some of these missions allow you to pilot an AC130 or breach and clear deep inside the Gulag. Only one complaint is that you can only play 2 player specops.
The original Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 games have been drawing players back in
I really hope we get other activision games on GP soon. My dream would be Scarface but I know the license probably expired
Love me some Scarface! I even bought the comics. Yeah, licensing would probably be an impasse.
I played through Scarface again last year and it still holds up. Such a fun game. I would love for Xbox to get the rights back to remaster Scarface and make a sequel. It sold well and they had plans for Scarface 2, 3, and 4. With how long it takes Rockstar to make games the market is wide open.
That game was so much fun. Expected a cheap GTA clone but it was a good drug empire building game.
They didn't just have plans but there's actual gameplay out there for scarface 2

None of those games had dedicated servers on console in the first place? Were always player hosted. Did something change?

not surprised i trued playing the new cod it still very hard for me to find the game 2days ago on pc i clicked the exe watched a cutscene could not skip 5 store ads then spent 10min trying to find were to play the game.
There is more store ads/directories than anything so why not reuse stuff its 80% mt's 20% video game now
