Pros:
"Braid is what you get when you throw super mario, puzzles, and beautiful water paintings into a blender."
Braid is a refreshing new puzzle 2-D scroller offered on XBLA. It's one of several pioneering voyages with the mission of using digital distribution as a means toward publishing games which seriously push the envelope of creativity and game play.
The main character is Tim, a guy who runs around wearing a black suit and a red tie. Tim is in search of a princess (I bet you can guess what's coming!) who just so happens to keep ending up in another castle.
Braid takes players through a series of dream-like "fairy-tale" levels that progressively incorporate more challenging puzzles that keep the player engaged. Most of the levels offer twists and turns, including time manipulation, creative enemy encounters, and power manipulation. As the puzzles become more challenging you may become a bit frustrated, however, make sure to master Tim's abilities. The final level is a fast-paced series of tests which essentially assess how well you've mastered all of Tim's abilities.
At the risk of sounding like a fan boy, Braid has been one of the most creative and interesting gaming experiences that I've had in some time. The premise was innovative and the sound, graphics, and game play came together to produce an overall gaming experience that was fantastic.
Cons:
If anything, my only comment would be that there aren't more games like this available for XBLA. Thankfully, Braid is one of many new and creative games that will inevitably come from the economic efficiencies of digital distribution.

Nice list.
I’ll add 9th Dawn III to that list. Great game made by one person.
Always Sometimes Monster is made by two people technically, but let’s do an honorable mention.
Technically speaking Minecraft should have been on the list. But it's nice to see these single devs thrive.
Theyr is no game made by one man. Theyr is always a team of developers behind them.
However there is always someone who comes up with the idea of a game.
When i would give an example of one man with that idea for me its Hideo Kojima....
Microsoft is offering three additional free games for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers in addition to the regular lineup of games this month.
And still the contradiction of getting something for "free" from a service you pay for continues.

I might have to get this on PSN. It sounds like a cool indy type of game. I was a fan of flower and a few other indy titles as well.
