What Are Pony Points For?
Pony Points are a form of reward currency that players can earn for performing any activity at the stables such as resting and registering a horse. They can then, in turn, be used to obtain rewards related to horses and resting. This system is put in the game to reward players for going to the stables, and was not present in Breath of the Wild.
How to Earn Pony Points in Tears of the Kingdom
Before you start earning Pony Points, you first need to get yourself a Pony Point Card. This can be acquired pretty easily by simply speaking with a stable master at any of the stables around Hyrule.
After getting the card, every time you perform an activity at any stable, you’ll be given a Pony Point. The point will be added to your card as a stamp and the amount can be seen at any time from the pause menu.
If you’re confused about what activities you’ll have to perform to earn Pony Points, then things like resting at a stable and registering a horse will grant you one Pony Point each. One thing to keep in mind is that these activities don’t come free. You need to pay 20 rupees to do both of them, so best get to collecting some rupees before you start collecting Pony Points.
How to Use Pony Points in Tears of the Kingdom
Now that you know how to collect Pony Points in Tears of the Kingdom, how do you use them? Well, after you’ve collected enough of these points, you can head on over to any of the stables around Hyrule. Once inside, head over to the ledger counter on the side of the stable desk to obtain your reward.
Keep in mind that this is a form of reward currency, which means what you get is determined by how many Pony Points you have. If you’re unsure of how far away you are to obtaining your next reward, then you can simply:
- Go to your inventory
- Navigate to key-items
- Find the pony point card
- Check the description to find out how many points you need for the next reward
Typically, you are rewarded every three Pony Points you earn, so keep that in mind if you would rather stack up on them before collecting your reward.
Some of the rewards you can earn as well as the amount of Pony Points you require for them are:
- Towing Harness for 3 Pony Points
- Horse God Fabric for Paraglider for 5 Pony Points
- Ability to sleep at Malanya Bed for 7 Pony Points
- Able to register an additional horse for 10 Pony Points
- Traveler’s Saddle and Bridle for 13 Pony Points
