With Zelda Tears of the Kingdom hyping up fans around the world, we’ve already started seeing Reddit threads fill with speculations on the potential voice actors for the game. Fortunately, though, some of those speculations have turned into reality after we’ve caught a glimpse into the game’s storyline and characters from Tears of the Kingdom’s trailer.
If you’ve been wondering what we know about the Tears of The Kingdom voice cast so far, then you’re in luck. We’ve got the two trailers Nintendo teased us with, let’s see what we’ve been able to deduce from it so far.

Who are the Voice Actors in Tears of the Kingdom?
As far as we know, three characters who are going to be integral to the Tears of The Kingdom storyline are Link, Princess Zelda and Ganondorf. Unfortunately, the first trailer wasn’t much help in deducing the voice cast since all we got was a sneak peek into the cool gameplay alongside a few scenic shots. However, the second trailer was much more telling, so to say.
Let’s see what we could make out of it
Who is the Voice Actor for Gandorf?
We finally got a good look at Ganondorf with his deep, rustling voice carrying an intimidating voice-over in the background. Ganondorf only speaks to his “servants” for a short twenty-or-so seconds but most fans have been pretty quick to conclude that the deep, raspy voice belongs to the decorated voice artist Matt Mercer.
Still, this is all speculation. But if Matt Mercer truly is the voice for Ganondorf, then we can expect to see his creative spark in our beloved villain’s dialogues.
Who is the Voice Actor for Link?
Moving on to the rest of the cast, here’s what we found out about Link. While our expert marksman does get quite a bit of screen time, he’s seen chiefly using his trusty paraglider to soar across the lush green meadows and making quick work of the bad guys (as is expected from every Zelda game). However, we’ve still managed to hit the bull’s eye when it comes to finding out his voice actor.
Since Kengo Takanashi did a fantastic job voicing Link in the prequel to Tears of The Kingdom, Breath of The Wild, it’s no surprise Nintendo decided to stick with him for the next iteration as well.
Who is the Voice Actor for Princess Zelda?
As for Princess Zelda, we don’t quite have enough information on her voice actress just yet. We did get a small three-second clip of her speaking during the trailer, and it does resemble Zelda’s voice actress in Breath of The Wild. Princess Zelda was voiced by Patricia Summersett in in previous inning. If she’s voicing her again in Tears of The Kingdom, you’ve got no complaints from our side.
While this is all yet to be officially confirmed by Nintendo, we as fans have a lot to look forward to if all the speculations are true. Regardless of what we find out in the end, The Legends Of Zelda has a knack for picking an extremely talented crew for all their games.
