Does Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Have Memories?

Tears of the Kingdom is almost here, and what most players are wondering is whether or not the game will be having memories in it. After all, memories were a crucial part of this game’s prequel, Breath of the Wild, and with so many mechanics expected to have chances made, it would make sense for memories to see the same fate.

Without memories, players will have to learn the story in a different manner. I enjoyed learning what happened to Hyrule in Breath of the Wild through memories, but Tears of the Kingdom features a different context, as Link has been awake and does not need to remember.

Will We Have to Collect Memories in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Yes, memories exist in Tears of the Kingdom, but they come in a different form. They are now referred to as Tears, and can be found near the colored line designs across Hyrule. The best way to find these is by flying high and looking down at the ground. Search for a small pool within these designs and you will uncover the Tear and attached memory.

These memories will uncover the story in Tears of the Kingdom, but players should expect a different tone in the sequel. This will explore what’s happening, the relationship between Link and Zelda, and so much more.

I am dying to know the story in Tears of the Kingdom, especially with Ganondorf’s return. I fully intend to find each and every Tear so I can piece the story together, but don’t be afraid to take your time and explore the vast and exciting world of Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom. I also need to get the Master Sword as fast as possible so I can defeat any enemies that get in my way while searching for the Tears.
