In Tears of the Kingdom, the newest entry to the insanely popular Legend of Zelda series, there’s a new method of journeying around Hyrule. We are, of course, talking about soaring through the skies of the holy land. What better way to do that than by standing on a giant wing that you can fly on? Today, we’re here to go through how to use wings in Tears of the Kingdom, either to fly your destination or to get some sightseeing in.

How to Use the Zonai Wing in Tears of the Kingdom
To fly using the Zonai Wing in Tears of the Kingdom, you first have to get it in the air. Then, you have to control the wing by walking on various parts of it. It’s all about gravity pretty much.
How To Get the Wing into the Air
The first thing you have to do is get the Wing in the air. You can use one of four methods to accomplish this.
The first method is looking for a wing ramp and placing the wing on it by using Link’s Overhand ability. Simply get on the Wing before it goes too far, and the wing will eventually launch into the sky. As a matter of fact, this method is the one you’ll most likely use when you first obtain the Zonai Wing after completing the third shrine near the beginning of the game.
The other three methods are:
- Getting the wing in the air by jumping off of a high place with it.
- Attaching Zonai Fans to the wing and activating them by striking them.
- Using the Overhand ability to get the Wing in the air, then freezing it in place by using Link’s Recall ability. This will give you enough time to get on top of it.
How To Control the Wing
With the Zonai Wing in the air, and hopefully with you on top of it, it’s time to control the Wing. You can control the wing by walking on different parts of it to affect the direction it’s facing. Of course, simply standing near the center of the wing will make it glide naturally.
Having Link walk toward the back of the Wing, however, will make the Wing rise upwards. Walking toward the front, meanwhile, will make the Wing perform a nose-dive, which should come in handy when you’ve reached your destination.
If you want to make the Wing turn while it’s in the air, you simply have to walk toward your desired side. Walk left to make the Wing turn left, and walk right to make it turn right. Pretty straightforward, right?
You can increase the speed as well by using various Zonai devices, like the fans, as well as the abilities of Link. It’s all about using your imagination.
How To Land the Wing
The last thing you need to know is how to land the Zonai Wing while it’s in the air. To do so, you could either have the Wing perform a nose dive by walking toward the front of the Wing, or you could use the Overhand ability to grab the wing and then hop off wherever you want. Just be sure to recall the wing after landing.
