How Do You Swim Underwater in Tears Of The Kingdom
Unfortunately, there is no ability to swim underwater in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Players can dive from one of the highest Sky Islands into any body of water of Hyrule, and Link will briefly be underwater before popping back up to the surface.
Once in the water, players can only swim around with the left control stick and dash with the X button to swim faster. There are no other controls to submerge Link completely and swim while underwater, though there are some cooked foods that will boost his speed in the water.
How To Open Underwater Chests
While Link cannot swim underwater, players may come across chests that have sunk to the bottom of shallow lakes and ponds. Since Link cannot physically get to the treasure chest, then the treasure chest will have to come to him.

Players can get underwater chests by using the Ultrahand ability. Once near the water, players can hold the L button to bring up the ability wheel and select the red hand icon on the right side. Then move the cursor over the chest and press the A button to grab it and then drag it from the water. It can then be opened on land.
