The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brings back the health and and stamina system from previous game Breath of the Wild, and the ability to respec those stats to get more of the other. The process may be different, but this guide will show players how to swap hearts for stamina in Tears of the Kingdom.
How to Switch Between Hearts or Stamina in Tears of the Kingdom
Players can swap their hearts for stamina or stamina for hearts by visiting the Horned Statue in the Royal Hidden Passage via the Lookout Landing Emergency Shelter. Talking to it will buy one of the player’s hearts or a stamina section for 100 Rupees, and will then sell the opposite upgrade to Link for 120 Rupees.
Essentially, the player is paying the difference of 20 Rupees to swap between having more health or having more stamina. There is no limit on how many times players can swap, unless players do not have enough money to cover the cost.

How to Unlock the Horned Statue in Tears of the Kingdom
The Horned Statue can be unlocked by completing the “Who Goes There” side quest. It is not available at the start of the game, and will require players to complete at least one dungeon temple for the side quest to appear.
Once the requirement is met, players should go to the Emergency Shelter at Lookout Landing and speak to Jerrin, the lady sweeping with a broom. The side quest will be given, and players should walk through the hole in the wall nearby.
The passageway is the Royal Hidden Passage and is a long hallway with rocks in the path. Stay to the right, and destroy the rocks with either a capable weapon or Bomb Flower. The Horned Statue will be at the end of the path, and will initially show the player how to swap hearts for stamina at no cost for the first time.
