How To Increase Weapon Slots in Tears of the Kingdom

Link taking to Hetsu at Lookout Landing in Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom follows in the direct path that Breath of the Wild set back in 2017 when it came to weapons. Link still has a limited of weapon slots, and most weapons will degrade and break with each use.

Players only start with a few slots to carry melee weapons, bows, and shields. There is a way to expand that inventory, but can be a bit of a process. This guide will show players how to increase their weapon slots to carry more items.

How To Get More Weapon Slots in Tears of the Kingdom

Players can receive more weapon slots by visiting Hetsu and giving him Korok Seeds. It is almost the same process as in Breath of the Wild, where Koroks are scattered across Hyrule in hidden spaces or mini-challenges.

Finding them or helping them out will reward players with Korok Seeds. These seeds can then be traded to Hetsu for a new slot in either weapons, bows, or shields.

The first slot in each category costs one Korok Seed, and then will exponentially cost more with each additional slot. The second slot will cost two seeds, the third slot costs three, etc.

How To Find Hetsu in Tears of the Kingdom

Hetsu can first appear to the player northwest of Lookout Landing on the path to Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower. Talking to him will start the Hetsu’s Concern side quest, and will offer to trade seeds after completing it.

He could then appear randomly around Hyrule, though there are two spots where he could possibly stay. The first is in Korok Forest, though players will have to clear through the Lost Woods and a potential boss fight for him to appear.

The easier option is to visit him at Lookout Landing. He will be standing next to the armor shop. Although, it seems he will not appear there until the player has completed several quests, so keep checking every visit there.
