Kuro Games just keep on giving. First, they give us Xiangli Yao, a five-star character, completely for free (if you participate in the Moon-Chasing Festival, that is). Now they offer a lot of goodies for players have haven’t been playing for a while, to help bring them up to speed. We get why Kuro is one of the more popular gaming studios of today.

The Reprise of Tides Returnee Event Details

Reprise of Tides is an event targeting returning players, with a beautiful description: “As the songs echo once more, let those musical scores guide you on a journey to rediscover this world.” It starts as soon as the update 1.2 lands (which should have already happened in most of the time zones) and lasts for 14 days (for each player individually).

To be able to “trigger” this event, a couple of conditions have to be met first:

  • Reach Union Level 8
  • Haven’t logged in for at least 30 consecutive days.
  • At least 30 days have passed since the last Reprise of Tides event ended.

With the Reprise of Tides event activated, you will get daily login rewards for seven days, and even more by completing the Returnee Quests. The rewards in question are Astrite, Crystal Solvents, Premium Sealed Tubes, and more.

Why Reward Players Who Haven’t Logged in for 30 Days?

Many players are wondering what’s the deal with handing out rewards to players who haven’t played the game for a while. The answer is quite simple. It is to incentivize players to return to the game and offer them some of the currencies so they can catch up more easily.

“It’s not rewarding the players that haven’t played in 30 days, it’s giving them catch up currencies which they have missed while not playing” said IeyasuTheMonky. “The rewards are like a small fraction of what you get from playing for 30 days. They’re just there to encourage players to return, not reward them…” added legend27_marco.

Whether this move is all about extra revenue or not, it is refreshing to see a game studio that is willing to make the extra effort to bring some players back into the game.
