October has finally arrived, and every Forza fan knows what time it is. After waiting for quite some time, Forza Motorsport 8 is just around the corner as its playerbase is hyped up for the racing simulator reboot to be officially released.
Prior to the game’s release, its developer, Turn 10 Studios has revealed some of the improvements that will come with it by the time it launches. With the plethora of technological advances that the game will be bringing in come October 10, will other features like the split screen be included? Let’s find out.
Will Forza Motorsport 8 have a split screen feature?
Sadly, a split screen feature will not be present for this Forza reboot. This has been confirmed by Turn 10’s Creative Director Chris Esaki.
This was during the Forza Monthly livestream back in August where he addressed the aforementioned feature alongside a couple more. According to him, due to their “heavy investment in pushing Forza Motorsport 8’s new graphical features and their complete overhaul of the rendering engine,” such a feature won’t make it into the game by the time it releases.

- Compete with cutting-edge AI opponents, advanced physics, powerful assists, new damage and dirt accumulation systems, and photorealistic visuals with real-time ray tracing on-track.
Will Forza Motorsport 8 Have Spectator Mode?
It was also during the live stream that Esaki revealed that a couple more legacy features – spectator mode and racing against AI – won’t be part of Forza Motorsport 8’s launch.
Esaki explained that the spectator mode is not in line with the competitive racing that they have in mind for the upcoming title. As for the AI in featured multiplayer, it’s the potential impacts on players’ safety ratings didn’t make sense for it to be included in the game.
