Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is just around the corner yet there is so much ambiguity around its premise. We’ve been itching to learn more about the game, and fans are intrigued by the trailers showing Zelda and Hyrule in danger once again. The question arises, who is the villain in Zelda Tears of the kingdom?

Potential Main Villains in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
While nothing has been confirmed yet based on the trailers, fans have come up with a couple of theories regarding the big baddie we will face in Tears of the Kingdom.
Demise
A classic villain from Skyward Sword who was sealed within the Master Sword many centuries ago. Demise was the enemy of the Goddess of Light and swore vengeance against Link and Zelda. Ganondorf is believed to be an incarnation of Demise. However, we believe this time that the original Demise may make a return. This is because many of the trailer images show a broken or damaged Master Sword potentially hinting that Demise has been freed.

Ganondorf
The trailer played a voice that seemingly belonging to Ganon. We see a skeletal Gerudo figure coming back to life and many believe that this could be Ganondorf’s form after his defeat in Breath of the Wild. It is entirely possible that we may see an original new incarnation of Ganondorf with his own lore and backstory. This would allow for an exciting new story that we’d love to see unfold.
