The Rocket Launcher in Resident Evil 4 is a one-time use-only weapon which begs the question; what is the right time to use it? As the game progresses, plenty of intense boss fights will require you to time and use the launcher to save your life.
If you’re unsure when to use the Rocket Launcher in Resident Evil 4 Remake, dive in as we guide you every bit of the way.
When To Use The Rocket Launcher In Resident Evil 4 Remake
The best time to use the free Rocket Launcher given to you in Resident Evil 4 Remake is usually in the Verdugo or Salazar fight. That is because these two battles will be the most cumbersome in the game, and a Rocket Launcher will definitely make things a hell of a lot easier for you.
While you can buy the Rocket Launcher in the game for 30,000 Peseta, you also get one free in the game during Chapter 3-3 in the glass case full of ammo in the gallery. The weapon takes up 8×2 spaces of inventory (16 blocks) and cannot be upgraded. Keep in mind that one Rocket Launcher can be used only once, and after you’ve used it, it will vanish from your inventory.

Should I Use Rocket Launcher In Verdugo Or Salazar Fight
While both are viable options for you to use the Rocket Launcher in, we recommend you use it in the Verdugo fight if there’s an option. That is because, without the RPG, Verdugo becomes a much tougher opponent, while Salazar is still relatively manageable if one knows what they’re doing.
Other than that, the RPG consumes a significant amount of inventory space that could be used for more valuable items. While it’s not as cumbersome during the Verdugo battle, waiting until Salazar means having to carry it for another four chapters, which can be inconvenient if you’re already struggling with inventory space.
As a result, we prefer you use it against Verdugo. The game offers plenty of opportunities to collect in-game money, so acquiring an RPG for Salazar shouldn’t be too difficult or expensive.
