Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is nearly here, and fans of the series couldn’t be more excited. The game takes place five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, meaning that players will be following the same cast they fell in love with years ago.
Still, Fallen Order came out over four years ago, and that’s a long time to go without experiencing the story of this series. This guide will serve as a quick primer, getting players back up to speed on what happened at the end of Fallen Order, so that they can be prepared for the new release.
What Was Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Ending?
The plot of Fallen Order revolved around gaining access to an ancient vault that housed a Holocron containing a list of force-sensitive children. At the end of the story Cal Kestis manages to get ahold of the Holocron before the Empire, but understands that trying to recruit and train these children will only put them in more danger. As such, he destroys the Holocron, before asking the rest of his crew where they should go next.

The end of this storyline also included the final confrontation between Cal and Trilla Suduri, the former padawan of Cal’s traveling companion, former Jedi Knight Cere Junda. Much of the character-driven narrative revolved around Junda’s betrayal of Trilla under torture and Trilla’s subsequent fall to the Dark Side. In the final act of Fallen Order Cal defeats Trilla, and manages to convince her to come back to the Light.
This moment is cut short when Darth Vader arrives. Cal manages to escape with the Holocron, but only after Trilla sacrifices her life to try and protect Cal from Darth Vader.
The narrative direction for Jedi: Survivor is unknown at this time. With the main cast still alive, and Darth Vader aware of our protagonist’s existence, the story for this new title is sure to be exciting.
