Well, Steam Support is there to remind us of the importance of good customer service, but most of all the importance of being understanding and nice to customers. Recently, several Steam Deck users recalled their extremely positive experiences with Valve Support.

Valve Support Treats the Customers Well

One devoted player, ComposedbyNone, had a little mishap happen to them. This player’s cat shredded the case of their 1TB OLED. Devastated, the player contacted Support and asked if buying another one was an option.

Valve Support answered: Thank you for the information above. As a customer service gesture, we’ve submitted an order to have a replacement Steam Deck 1TB OLED Case sent out to you. These requests are normally processed within 3-4 business days. You will receive a separate email from Steam with
tracking information once your shipment is on the way. If you have any other questions, please let us know, we will be happy to assist you.

Steam Deck Users Explain Why Good Customer Service Is Important

It’s always wonderful to see a business, especially a big one, care about its customers. Valve Support truly showed how all customer services should operate, with respect to their faithful customer. The lovely Steam Deck community confirmed this.

Gibraldi stated: “It’s reasons like this why I buy so much on Steam. They run a really customer-first business with service standards that seem to be impossible to find elsewhere lately”.

Another user, Harvey_Squirrelman, explained: “It’s genuinely smart business. They know a lot of people’s first experience with Steam is the Deck. Valve knows how to keep folks happy, a minor repair for free keeps you buying games or telling your friends about it. Brilliant, and good for everyone”.

Of course, several Steam users asked the community not to abuse this gesture. It’s important to treat this company with the respect they treat their customer base with, that’s only fair. We truly appreciate a helpful and nice community such as this one. But, if you truly have a minor problem with your Deck, or a part needs replacing, try your luck and contact Valve Support. They might be able to help you, and we are sure they do that gladly.
