When Marvel Rivals launched, many Steam Deck users were surprised to see it was officially marked as Playable. It just didn’t run as well as the players expected it to. However, it seems that the NetEase devs heard the complaints and made some improvements. Does Season 2 of Marvel Rivals run better on the Steam Deck? And how can you get the most out of this game?
How to Enjoy Season 2 of Marvel Rivals on Your Device?
Season 2 started on April 11, and even though there have generally been some issues, many players don’t mind overlooking them for Emma Frost. But, how does it run on Steam Deck?
One of our favorite Steam Deck content creators, Deck Wizard, made a video showcasing how the game worked after the update. Overall, it doesn’t look too bad, and it averages at around 40 FPS.
The Deck Wizard made a video that contains eight sections. You can see the TAAU 60 Render Scale, the Recommended Settings, No Upscaling, Emma Frost Hero Skins, the FSR 3.1 Performance, the XeSS 2.0 Performance, the FSR 3.1 Frame Generation Test, and the TSR Performance.
As for the Recommended Settings, the part that the majority of players are interested in, this YouTuber kept it simple. Everything is either turned off, kept on low. As for anti-aliasing, you can check the video to see what suits your taste the most. Furthermore, this content creator suggested 1280×800 for the resolution, switching to a lower one wouldn’t do much for the performance.
As always, the community was quite pleased with this content creator’s analysis. So, it seems that Steam Deck users will get to fully enjoy Season 2 of Marvel Rivals on their devices.
One user, coldpizza9028, noted: “This is pretty good performance as it is! Barely dropped below 40. Even in heated fights. I bet by season 4. This thing is gonna run amazingly. Solid 60 fps”.
So, if the devs keep working on the game, Steam Deck users will get to enjoy it much more in the future. As always, dear Hero, see you out there, and enjoy the game.
