Developers Red Barrels have confirmed the full release of The Outlast Trials across all platforms for March 5, 2024. This is great news for all lovers of a good scare and horror in video games. Besides that, with the full release, The Outlast Trials will be coming to multiple consoles and not just the PC.
What is The Outlast Trials?
The Outlast Trials is a physiological horror survival game played from the first-person perspective. Although the game supports cooperative multiplayer with up to four players, it can be played and completed solo. To beat the game you will have to complete a series of Trials while running and evading monstrous enemies.
The Outlast Trials has four distinct classes all with different skill trees. Each class has a unique ability that allows players to perform different actions, like healing other players, seeing through walls, stunning the enemies, or placing mines. In addition, every player is equipped with a pair of night goggles that can be used to navigate dark places. However, you will have to use them carefully because they need to be recharged with a scarcely available Battery resource. As in the previous games, players can pick items to aid them on their journey, but they can carry only three items at a time.
