First released back in 2020, The Last of Us Part 2 is primed to receive a remaster from developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony Interactive. Set in the post-pandemic world of the first installment, the sequel follows Ellie as she seeks resolution in the wake of an event that threatened the safety of she and Joel’s once safe community. In the newly remastered title, you can now play as Ellie, Abby, and several previously unplayable characters in new game modes. With so much hype backing its release, when can we expect the remaster to drop? Here’s a look at the official launch date details.

When is The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Coming Out?

While The Last of Us Part 2 was initially released just four years ago, the remastered title is set to release on January 19, 2024. In addition to a handful of newly playable characters on offer, the game will now feature several lost levels that weren’t included in the game’s first release, an all-new roguelike survival mode dubbed No Return, and major graphical improvements to boot.
