While processes will differ between digital and physical versions of the game, the steps remain relatively simple. Let’s break down how to upgrade either version to the remaster on PS5.
With a digital copy of The Last of Us 2:
- On launch day, go to the PlayStation Store on your PS5 console
- Search for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered
- Select the Upgrade option
- If you don’t see the option, click on the ellipses (…)
- Choose the Upgrade option from the drop-down list
With a physical copy of The Last of Us 2:
- Insert your game disk into the disk drive on your PS5 console
- Go to the PlayStation Store on launch day and search for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered
