Season 2 is getting closer and closer, which means some new characters will be joining us. First Nexon confirmed that two new Descendants, one male, and one female, will join the team. And now, the First Descendant devs plan to reveal a new Ultimate Descendant next weekend, and the players speculate on who it will be.
The last Ultimate Descendant we got was Freyna, and she proved to be a massive hit. She became a go-to choice for everything in the game except Void Intercept Battles. Additionally, we got her personal questline/story, as a lead-up to the Ultimate version. Now, with Season 2 on the way, the devs have confirmed that an official Season 2 announcement is coming, where we will see the official reveal of the next Ultimate Descendant.
Nexon Confirms That the New Ultimate Descendant Will Be Revealed Next Weekend
Season 2 is scheduled for December 5. Titled Season 2: Ancestor, it is supposed to add a new pet mechanic (called Utility Companions), continue the general storyline, add two new characters, Mega Dungeons, a new Ultimate Descendant, and more. Recently, Nexon opened up an official live Q&A on TFD’s Discord channel, where they answered a lot of fans’ questions.
When asked “when and who will be the next ultimate released”, the dev team replied: “We will reveal it next weekend!”
Note that they are not referring to the weekend that’s about to start (November 9-10.), but the next one, November 16-17. They plan to reveal a lot of stuff about Season 2 next weekend, new Ultimate Descendant and more Skins are confirmed, and chances are we will get details concerning the pets, new characters, and hopefully Mega Dungeons.
The First Descendant Community Speculates on Who the Next Descendant Will Be
As for the identity of the next Ultimate Descendant, Nexon has been silent, but the players have their own ideas. One part of the community thinks it is going to be Blair. “Please be ultimate Blair. we need to heat things up” said cupcake_queen101 and “Probably Blair, after that Jayber/Enzo if is two two, if not will be Blair>Sharen.” added EducationalCompany1. More players mention both Blair and Sharen, and that makes perfect sense.
On November 7, Nexon announced that reworks of Outposts are on the way. One of the plans is to make the Outpost-exclusive Amorphous Materials accessible via Infiltrations as well. Naturally, Sharen mains are not too happy, claiming that will make her virtually obsolete. However, that can also mean that a rework is on the way. Freyna had a significant rework right before getting the Ultimate version, so the same might happen with Sharen. We’ll just have to wait for a week to find out.
