It is common with live service games to have some of their features reworked. Nexon realized that a few of their weapons were not performing as intended or were so clunky that basically everyone ignored them. Such was the case with The Final Masterpiece. This Unique Handgun had the ability to get a random buff each time you reloaded it, and if you managed to get the same buff two or three times in a row, the ability would be upgraded. Remember that we are talking about a weapon with around 20 shots per magazine, so the reloads were pretty common. As expected, The Final Masterpiece was deemed too random and inconsistent and was left behind. Thankfully, Nexon caught wind of this and has reworked the weapon to be more consistent with its Unique Ability. This led to a massive rise in popularity for The Final Masterpiece among The First Descendant players and a popular YouTuber shares an awesome build for mobbing.
“The Final Masterpiece Is a Work of Art” Claims a Popular The First Descendant YouTuber
On October 30, Nexon reworked a few Unique Weapons, putting a new spin on them. The Final Masterpiece was changed from a random buff to a consistent elemental bonus, that changes with each reload, but in a set order. That way you know what buff is next in line. Moreover, all of the buffs make your shots explode dealing elemental AoE damage, making it an awesome weapon for mobbing.
One popular YouTuber named the Full Measure shared his thoughts on The Final Masterpiece, and a great build for destroying masses of enemies with this weapon.
For the Modules, besides the usual batch of Firearm ATK and Fire Rate, he proposes that you focus on Critical Hit Rate and Damage. The Final Masterpiece will hit multiple opponents with every other shot (50% trigger chance), so there will be a lot of opportunities to trigger those crits.
Last but not least, there are two contenders for the final spot. One is Firing Fiesta and the other is Toxic Conductor. Firing Fiesta gives you the ability to not use up any ammo after reloading, for three seconds. The Final Masterpiece has a high rate of fire, so a lot of bullets can be shot in those three seconds. As for the Toxic Conductor, this one is here to help you with Elite enemies. This Module increases your ATK when shooting Poisoned enemies and since one of the elemental abilities of the weapon drops Poison puddles that remain on the floor for some time, this will result in a significant damage buff.
The Final Masterpiece Mobbing Build by The Full Measure
Normal Modules
- Rifling Reinforcement (increases Firearm ATK)
- Fire Rate UP (increases Fire Rate)
- Expand Weapon Charge (increases Magazine size)
- Better Insight (increases Critical Hit Rate)
- Better Concentration (increases Critical Hit Damage)
Rare Modules
- Action and Reaction (increases Firearm ATK and Recoil)
- Bullet Integration (increases Firearm ATK and Critical Hit Damage)
- Edging Shot (increases Critical Hit Rate, reduces Firearm ATK)
- Concentrate Support Ammo (increases Magazine size and Critical Hit Damage)
Ultimate Modules
- Firing Fiesta (when reloading, rounds are not consumed for 3sec)
Or
- Toxic Conductor (increases Firearm ATK against Poisoned targets)
With this build, you will obliterate anything that is not a Colossus. And, as the Full Measure said, it’s good to mix up your build once in a while and not default to a single weapon. So, The Final Masterpiece can be a sweet change of pace, especially if you use this build.
