There are a lot of Ultimate weapons in TFD, each with its own cool unique bonus. Naturally, some have proved better than others over time, and become “meta” weapons, either for mobbing or for fighting bosses or Colossi. Albion Cavalry Gun was generally left behind by the majority of players. However, it has recently received an update that immensely increased its mobbing capacity, making it a contender for the best weapon for clearing large groups of monsters. On that note, a popular The First Descendant YouTuber shared a very good mobbing build for Albion Cavalry Gun that everyone can benefit from.
Albion Cavalry Gun Can Be a Mobbing Machine, Thanks to a Cool Build Shared by a Popular YouTuber
After the last update, Albion Cavalry Gun’s unique ability has been improved. Now it has the ability to ricochet to nearby enemies on Crits, dealing damage and stunning them. Furthermore, the more you fire it, the more movement speed you will get, which is great for mitigating some movement penalties some heroes have.
A popular TFD YouTuber, Moxsy, shared his own thoughts about the gun, along with a couple of builds, that make the best use of Cavalry Gun’s strengths, turning it into a mobbing machine.
He starts by saying that even though a lot of characters will work great with Albion Cavalry Gun, Hailey is the best contender here, due to her ability to give it a 100% Crit Rate (due to her Cold Fury Skill), which guarantees a ricochet with every shot.
Best Builds for Albion Cavalry Gun
Moxsy offers two builds for the Albion Cavalry Gun: one “budget” build, for those who have only spent a couple of Crystallization Catalysts on the weapon, and a “High-Investement” build, for those who have fully upgraded their Albion Cavalry Gun. The builds in question are:
Budget Build (six slots)
- Rifling Reinforcement
- Action and Reaction
- Better Insight
- Better Concentration
- Better Priority
- Expand Weapon Charge
This build focuses on increasing the weapon ATK and especially the Critical Hit Rate and Damage.
High-Investment Builds (all slots)
- Rifling Reinforcement
- Action and Reaction
- Better Insight
- Insight Focus or Edging Shot for non-Hailey Descendants, or Concentrate Support Ammo is using Hailey
- Mental Focus
- Toxic (or any other element, besides Chill) Enhancement
- Better Concentration
- Better Priority
- Expand Weapon Charge
- Fire Rate Up
Note that the builds require you to have all the Mods maxed out, as well as presuming that you have cata’d six or all of the sockets.
Not Just for Hailey
Even though Hailey is the best Descendant to use the Albion Cavalry Gun at this point, some other characters can make it work as well. Since the Gun works best the longer you shoot with it, Gley is an obvious choice, due to her Maximize Lethality Skill, which allows her to shoot without spending ammo.
Another good choice for the Albion Cavalry Gun is Bunny. The weapon increases your movement speed, which will make Bunny move even faster, allowing for faster clears and more effective farming.
