When Season 1 dropped, the fans were not happy with the amount of Hailey materials you get when finishing Invasion missions. Truth to be told, they weren’t happy with Invasions in general. The annoying puzzles, the fact that it’s solo-only, and only getting a pittance in Hailey materials all added up and resulted in general dissatisfaction. Thankfully, Nexon is listening to its playerbase and has promised that they will look into each of these issues and try to do something about them, to make the players’ experience much more enjoyable.
Hailey Material Drops Have Almost Doubled
On September 5, Nexon delivered a Hotfix 1.1.1 which addressed a lot of issues concerning Invasion missions. But, one of the most important changes is: “Increased Hailey Research Material rewards available at each Clear Time in Invasion Dungeons from 3, 2, 1. to 5, 4, 3.”
That is a significant increase in drops, which will effectively halve the time you need to unlock Hailey. Even without much commitment, you can practically unlock Hailey in a week.
The dev team commented: “In the 1.1.0b Update, we improved the drop rate of Hailey’s Research Materials as Infiltration Operation rewards. But based on continuing community feedback about how difficult the farming is, we have adjusted the rewards for clearing Invasion Dungeons, so now 12-20 research materials can be received daily, depending on the trophy earned. We hope this adjustment allows more players to farm Hailey more easily and enjoy the game.“
What About Those Who Already Unlocked Hailey?
Naturally, the community is thrilled by this news. Everyone wanted to unlock Hailey and now it will be much easier to do so. You can see a lot of praise on the official X post, and comments like: “Great overall changes to Invasion Dungeons, but the Hailey drop changes are huge. Thank you!” and “This update is [goated]! Thank you for listening to us and keeping us updated.”
You’d expect that those players who have committed a lot of hours into unlocking Hailey before this update will be a bit angry with all of this. But, the reality is completely different. “Just got her after farming pretty hard, but I’m honestly not bummed. More ppl being able to get the characters will make it easier for people to stick around and get more ppl recommending the game which means more support” said JeffreyNathani5.
Even so, some advocate that at least a minor gift for those who already did it wold be cool, as pirkooo said: “The ones who got Hailey before this update and without buying her should get a special piece of like hair, make up, chest piece, back piece or something like that. Hats off to you people who managed to farm her!”
If Nexon keeps improving their content like this and communicating with their playerbase, we expect that TFD will remain popular for a long time.
