Best Weapon for Freyna’s Venom Baptism, According to The First Descendant Community
For damage, Freyna’s Venom Baptism is scaled off of your Skill Power, so your equipped weapon ATK and related Modules will not contribute in any way. However, the things that you can improve are the Magazine Size and your Fire Rate.
One player, named BKF0308 on Reddit, asked the TFD community for their thoughts and advice on what is the best weapon to use with Venom Baptism. What everyone agrees on is that it doesn’t matter what specific weapon you are using (though everyone agrees that it should be a General Rounds weapon), rather it’s the equipped Modules that make a difference.
User WarxNuB said it best: “It doesn’t matter which Impact Rounds weapon you use in a sense as the only difference you will see is the amount of starting ammo you will have when in your 4th. But as long as it has 2 magazine mods, fire rate mod, and Sharp Precision Shot you’re Gucci and don’t need anything else.”
For the record, Sharp Precision Shot is a General Rounds Weapon Module that initially reduces your Fire Rate but increases it (along with Weapon ATK, while also reducing Recoil) gradually the longer you keep firing. It starts off at -20% Fire Rate, which turns into +20% with full stacks. It’s handy to have, but not mandatory, as HighRowCal said: “The one thing I’ve come to realize is that you really don’t need SPS. I do have an x slot for it, but I’ve gotten better at firing my 90 rounds without it.“
