Everyone loves some free goodies and one of the most popular ways of obtaining them today is by Twitch Drops. By watching certified streamers of your favorite games for a certain amount of time you can get some free stuff (usually cosmetics) for them. Nexon is following the trend with The First Descendant and Twitch Drops and has just revealed the next batch of free goodies you can get. It is the second batch of Season 1 Twitch Drops, the first going live near the official release of Season 1: Invasion, and now the second batch will follow the long-anticipated October 10 release.

Season 1 Second Twitch Drops Event

The second Twitch Drops event of Season 1 will begin on Friday, October 11, a day after the major update, and will end on Wednesday, November 6. During that time you simply have to watch any TFD streams on Twitch that have the drops enabled and to link your Twitch account to your game account.

The drops for this Twitch Drops event are:

  • 2x “Twitch Color” Paints – watch for 30 minutes
  • Gold: 150,000 and Kuiper Shard: 15,000 – watch for 60 minutes
  • 2x ‘Enamel Deep Black’ Paint – watch for 90 minutes
  • Freyna Makeup ‘Gold Glitter’ – watch for 120 minutes

You can notice that the first, “15-minute award” is gone now. However, you don’t get one but two Paints in each category. Unfortunately, the players are not too keen on the paints in general (even though the ‘Enamel Deep Black’ Paint looks pretty cool). The resources, Gold and Kuiper, are neat but nothing to write home about, so the only worthwhile reward is the last one, the makeup for Freyna (and only in case you’re playing Freyna).

The majority of players are still miffed about not getting the first batch of Twitch rewards, so the upcoming Twitch Drops event, being a little lackluster, may not be received as warmly as Nexon hoped. On the other hand, these are completely free. We truly hope that Nexon will say something about those late rewards and remedy the situation in any way.
