“Better This Time” The Majority of The First Descendant Playerbase is Finally Happy With the Battle Pass in Season 2

Battle Passes are a staple of many modern games and TFD is no exception. You get free rewards by simply playing the game as much as possible, and even better rewards if you pay for the “Premium” version. Those Premium Battle Passes are usually worth it (you get a huge chunk of the premium currency back as a reward, most of the time) and you get a ton of very cool stuff in there. However, in TFD, the community is not exactly sold on the Battle Passes in general. At best, they are “ok”, nothing to write home about. Recently, Nexon has been taking steps to improve the Battle Passes and even added Crystallization Catalysts and Energy Activators, two high-value items, as rewards. And now, with Season 2 going strong, it looks like they did a very good job and The First Descendant playerbase seems to finally be happy with the Battle Pass.

The First Descendant Season 2 Battle Pass Seems To Be Good This Time

The long-awaited Season 2 dropped on December 5. It added a lot (and we mean a lot) of new content, like a new character to play with, a new type of mission, stronger Colossi, Fellows, and much more. And, as always, a new Season means a new Battle Pass.

The previous ones were a bit lackluster, but this time Nexon did a good job. They had a not-so-great habit of giving us skins for Weapons that no one used. Truth be told, practically everyone uses only Ultimate Weapons, with a Tamer here and there. So having Skins for something that we forgot even existed is a bit wasteful. Thankfully, Nexon realized this (after a lot of feedback from the players) and now Ultimate Weapons (and a couple of others) are getting some cool skins, available only in the Season 2 Battle Pass.

  • Tame Beast (Tamer)
  • Thunder Injector (Thunder Cage)
  • Hunter’s Instinct (Python)
  • Deslin’s Devotion (Nazeistra’s Devotion)
  • Flattener (Lion of Blue Mane)
  • Wish (Fallen Hope)
  • Modified Belief (Dogma 21)
  • Eternal Courage (Eternal Willpower)
  • Preserved Glory (Albion Cavalry Gun)
  • Evolution Result No.2 (Vestigial Organ)
  • Electric Afterglow (Afterglow Sword)
  • Ultimate Voltia (Voltia)

Add the fact that you can get one Catalyst and one Activator, some cool cosmetics, and most importantly, more fluffy animals. You can get a chick, a turtle, or a piggy as a chest attachment, and an adorable black cat as a back attachment. You can also have a whole aquarium as a back attachment, because why not?

Fans Finally Happy With the Battle Pass

As for the fan reactions, they are mostly positive this time. The new Weapon Skins are the main attraction, as FrustratedGame4 said “Great battle pass, very happy, especially with the addition of some sexy skins for legendary weapons”, and Ibbythebeast510 added “Best battle pass so far. The ultimate weapon skins are what we want.”

By far the best comment was from Turtlewolfos, who said: “I am legitimately buying this season pass entirely for the turtle and it will never leave any of my Descendants.” and we completely get it. Though it would be a tough decision between the turtle and the piggy.

Others simply praise the Pass in general, like Evander_17 saying: “Probably the best battle pass yet” and prathams847 who added: “Devs, this bp is fire!! Absolutely high value for just 200 calibers!”

We are glad to see Nexon improving almost every aspect of the game so far. If they keep up like this, who knows what we’ll get in one year’s time?
