It is finally here. Nexon has announced the first Dev Live of 2025 for The First Descendant
Season 2 added a bunch of stuff to TFD, like Keelan, Fellow, Void Vessel missions, new weapons, and more. And let’s not forget some significant QoL changes. All of this was heralded by Dev Livestreams, which proved to be immensely popular with the fans. The combination of news and a light-hearted approach (and especially the fan-favorite Korean-to-English interpreter) proved to be a hit with the fans, and they asked for more livestreams. Nexon delivered and hosted a couple of dev live sessions where they showcased upcoming improvements, news, and their ideas for the future of TFD. And they also used the opportunities to have Q&A sessions.
The First Descendant Dev Live Is Coming Soon
Speaking of Q&A, an AMA (Ask-Me-Anything) session with the devs was scheduled for the end of 2024. Unfortunately, due to a national tragedy, it was canceled. We know that the next major update is scheduled for January 16, with promises that a dev livestream will happen before that.
And now, on January 6, Nexon announced that a dev live is coming, the first in 2025. “We’ll be sharing all the details about the Season 2 second update, releasing on January 16! Don’t miss it!” It is scheduled for January 8, exactly at:

- January 8, 21:00 EST
- January 9, 03:00 CET
- January 9, 11:00 KST
It’s been a while since the last livestream and the fans are looking forward to this one. We expect to see Ines Raya in more detail, her Skills, gameplay, and Skins. According to the roadmap, we should see some more info concerning the Void Inner Core, Void Erosion Control, and Weapon Core Unleash mechanics. And last but not least, the Lunar New Year Skins. Unsurprisingly, the fans are already excited about this.
