“Best Part of Season 2…When Working” The Fans Happy With the Auto-Dismantling System in The First Descendant, Even Though It Is Sometimes Bugged

The First Descendant Keelan approaching a Fellow dog

Fellows are one of the greatest additions of Season 2. You get your own doggy to follow you around, pick up nearby items, and improve the drop rates of some items. Additionally, they have a pretty useful function of automatically dismantling the items in your inventory. Even though it is sometimes a bit bugged for some players, The First Descendant fans are mostly very happy with the Auto-Dismantling System.

“It’s Good When it Actually Works” Auto-Dismantling is a Great Addition to The First Descendant…

Fellows are great for keeping your inventory clean. They will periodically dismantle all items according to the filters you set. That allows you to keep on farming without having to stop and clean in your inventory of trash, which usually happens at the worst time possible. Now, when you bring your Fellow along, you won’t be having those issues anymore.

As Prince_Tho on Reddit said: “Since season 2 I barely had to pause what I am doing to empty my stash. Amazing overall.” More players agree, saying stuff like “Came back just because of doggo’s QoL. I’ve been running 400% dungeons like a madman and haven’t needed to stop and dismantle stuff once. Just run and gun like maniac without breaking the flow of things.” by iPhantaminum, and “Right? In any other game this would be a paid only or vip feature. These devs seriously rock” by arcalite911

…When It Works!

This is all well and good, but, unfortunately, the Auto-Dismantle system can have a life of its own, and stops working for some players. The Filter can get bugged and not work properly, forcing you to open up your inventory and either dismantle the items on your own or reset the Filters again.

Players complain about having to readjust stuff between missions since the settings tend to reset on their own. “It’s unreliable currently. Sometimes it works, sometimes it just won’t. Sometimes, the inventory just fills up and the fellow doesn’t do anything.” said gaminnthis.

All in all, it is a great addition, when it decides to work. Hopefully, Nexon will fix it to make it more stable and reliable. Not having to bother with your inventory is an awesome improvement, they just have to make it work as intended for everyone. Hopefully, the upcoming patches and hotfixes will deal with it.
