The ongoing The First Descendant AMA session will last for just a couple more days, so here is the third batch of questions and answers.

The April edition of TFD Ask Me Anything started a couple of days ago and will be running until April 30. It will be the longest TFD AMA session we’ve ever had, as they usually just last for a couple of hours. It is held by Nexon’s Minseok Joo and Beom-jun Lee, and they both answer questions when they get to it. We already covered the first and the second batch of questions, and now is the time for the third one.

This time, only Beom-jun Lee was active on Discord, and he only managed to answer a couple of questions. Nevertheless, we have covered them here.

New/Customizable Login Screens

One player asked whether we will get a new Login screen with each Season, and proposed the idea of being able to customize our own Login screens, with tracks from the OST, for example. On that, Beom-junn Lee answered: “We create a new login screen for each season. The customization feature you suggested sounds interesting as well—thank you for the idea!”

Toggling Serena’s Wings On and Off

The infamous question that caused unexpected chaos. This time, one fan went so far as to state that they would love to remove Serena’s wings even as she is flying. To that, the dev said: “We are considering adding an in-game option to toggle Serena’s wings, not just during skill use but at any time.”

Timeframe Between Seasons

One fan noticed that Season 2 ends on June 13 and that Season 3 begins on July 3. There is a noticeable 2-week gap, so they asked how that will work out. Lee answered: “We are currently finalizing details regarding the end date of Season 2, the start date of Season 3, and other season-related operations. We’ll provide a detailed announcement soon.” It may be that the dates get moved around a bit.

TFD Animation/Comics

Moving on, one fan asked a pretty good question about whether Nexon considered making some animations about the lore, or at least short comics where we would see some character interactions. The answer is: “We always want to expand the IP into new media like animation or comics, but for now, we’re focusing our priorities more on game updates. ^^” That would be absolutely great if it ever happens.

Consumables Drop Rate

Finally, one player wanted some official clarification on what a Consumable really is in TFD. As per the in-game menu, Consumables are actually crafting materials, but logic dictates that they are stuff that you pick up and “consume”, like the Health or MP orbs that monsters usually drop. The question is, what does the “Consumable Drop Rate Increase Modifier” refer to, as the community is a bit divided on this?

“The ‘consumable’ mentioned here refers to materials and does not include HP orbs,” said Lee. As expected, but we do understand where the confusion came.

That was the last question Beom-jun Lee answered. Naturally, we will get even more answers during their working hours (time zone differences and all that). Stay tuned!
